Mustard Coated Chicken

Ingredients

4 Chicken Breasts (no fat, skin or bones)
4 tspns wholegrain Mustard
4 tbspns very low fat Fromage Frais
4 tspns fresh Chives
Salt and freshly ground black Pepper

Preparation

Preheat the grill to a medium heat.

In a bowl mix the fromage frais, mustard, chives and salt pepper.

Place the chicken fillets into a grill pan and brush the fillets with half of the fromage mixture so that the fillets are well covered, place under the grill for 15 minutes.

Take the chicken out from under the grill, turn the chicken over and brush with the remaining mixture, place back under the grill for a further 12-15 minutes or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked.

Serve with vegetables (baby carrots, cabbage or green beans) or a large salad.

You can also use chicken thighs or chicken fillets, make sure they have no fat or skin and reduce cooking time accordingly.

Sin value per serving:

Red Day - Half a syn per serving (wholegrain mustard)

Hi clare,

thanks for stopping by and many thanks for the feedback.

I've altered the recipe syn values on this dish as I want the site to be as accurate as possible.

I guess you could use mustard powder to coat the chicken but I don't think it would have the same taste or texture.

I think your right, for the sake of half a syn per serving, go with wholegrain/dijon.

Hope you will come back and let me know how you get on with the dish.
